Our Instructors
Erica Ajayi, Founder
Erica has a BBA in Business Management from Howard University and a
Masters Degree in Mathematics Education from The City College of the City University of New York. She is a New York State licensed teacher with a decade of experience teaching Math and Science in New York City and in London England. In addition to teaching, Erica is a mother of four children and truly enjoys engaging her own children at home with science activities and experiments. This inspired her to create Hands On Science Lab and share with other children the enjoyment of real science in an environment free of the limitations of school curriculums and free of the pressures of state exams.
Hands on Science Lab is an STEM learning center that offers engaging and educational science classes for children. Our classes are designed for children ages 3– 10 years old. Our curriculum was designed by licensed teachers with over a decade of teaching experience. Our classes are taught by licensed teachers, ensuring the best in for your child.
Children enjoy the wonders of science by conducting hands-on science investigations and experiments that encourage them to think scientifically about the world around them. Children learn sequencing, coding and creative problem solving skills through robotics classes. Parents feel comfortable knowing that their child is participating in activities that are important to developing a strong science foundation.
Ambar Galvan, Instructor
Ambar has a BA in Neuroscience and concentration in Education From Columbia University and Masters Degree in Science education from New York University. She is a New York state certified Science teacher and has 9 years teaching experience in math and science.
